BSBF – Big Science Business Forum is a business-oriented congress, focused on high technology and innovation with the aim to be the main meeting point between Research Infrastructures and industry in Europe. In 2024 Italy will host the third edition of the event in the city of Trieste, after the success of the previous editions in Copenhagen and Granada, where more than 1.000 delegates from more than 500 organisations and 30 countries gathered together to discuss the future prospects of the Big Science Market.

The BSBF Trieste 2024 is co-organised directly by those BSOs: the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Southern Observatory (ESO), the European Spallation Source (ESS), the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), the European X-Ray Free Electron Laser (European XFEL), the Facility for Antriproton and Ion Reseach in Europe (FAIR), Fusion for Energy (F4E), the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL) and the Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO), in collaboration with PERIIA, the Pan-European Network of national ILO – Industry Liaison Officers.

The winning candidature for hosting BSBF 2024 in Italy has been promoted by Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, ILO Network Italia (composed by Italian ILO from CNR, ENEA, INAF and INFN), Area Science Park of Trieste and PromoTurismo FVG.

BSBF2024 is a unique opportunity for European businesses and organizations to be fully informed and get involved in calls and competitions for billions of euro per year managed directly by international Big Science Organizations (BSOs), under specific rules and procedures
